Dear All,
this was really an amazing way to start a Learning Circle, so many really interesting introductions, nice stories, video and photo's. Well done!
We are now at the start the second week of the Learning Circle, that is marked by the start of the "sponsoring" a question phase.
|
Update of the Learning Circle |
It was very interesting to read most of your teacher and class messages and photos. Many of you indicated to continue to work on the introductions and we really appreciate the hear and read the students voices; please try to finalize them this week!
|
|
Agenda for the week |
As you are all aware, this week marks the beginning of composing your research questions, we have two weeks to create and post the question.
Click on the Questions page and post your question in your school space. Bear in mind that your sponsored question should relate to the theme of the Learning Circle, "Eco Friendly School" If you have a specific topic that your students would like to cover, please indicate so as soon as possible, so the other participants know your class is already working on that topic. The more variety we have in topics / answers, to more fun the research will be... so surprise us all!!

Important Information |
Criteria for quality sponsored question:
- is posted on time, so 24-01-2012 latest!
- relates to the theme of the Circle, "Eco Friendly Schools"
- clearly worded, taking into mind our cultural differences
- one question with 3-5 sub-questions to guide the research
- the question should be 'open' and initiate research, no 'closed question' that can be answered with Yes/No or very simple "Googled" answer
- the answer requires research
- the question should reflect international and global learning, and avoid focusing on one country or region
- if the question doesn't match these criteria facilitator will request you to rework the question
In the Wiki page Powerful Questions you find valuable tips!
Skype.
We have alreay received requests for Skype contact between studnets / classes. A Skype session is a really nice way to have personal contact and fins eachother for clarification or just for the joy of "seeing" eachother! So add your Skype account names on the Skype page.
Have fun this week and surprise us with your postings... Bob, Ria and Elke.
